A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser when you visit. It can remember a preference, or count how many different people have visited. Some cookies are needed for a site to work; others, like analytics ones, are optional and require your permission.
They are only set if you accept the notice. All of them are analytics cookies: there is no advertising cookie and your activity is not shared with advertisers.

We set them to 13 months instead of the two years Google uses by default, so that no cookie outlives the consent that allows it.
Your choice about this notice is also stored in your browser's local storage (jcs-cookies) for
twelve months. That is technically not a cookie and never reaches any server: it only avoids asking you
again on every visit.

You can also delete cookies already stored from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have a "clear browsing data" option), or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. After twelve months we will ask you again anyway.
