Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 22, 2026

1. Who we are

This website is the presentation and contact channel for JCS Software, the software development activity of Juan Catedra. Contact: jcssoftware.es@gmail.com.

2. Purpose of these terms

These terms govern the use of this website and its contact form ("Tell us your idea"). The website does not by itself provide any software service: it is a showcase and an entry point to start a conversation about a possible project. The actual software development service is contracted separately, through a proposal and a specific agreement for each project, which may complete or replace specific points of these general terms.

3. How an idea becomes a project

4. Quotes, price, and payment method

Any figure mentioned before the formal proposal (including any indicated by the interested party in the form) is indicative and does not bind either party. The price, the payment method (for example, a deposit and the remainder on delivery, or by milestones), and the timeline are set in writing, specifically for each project, before development begins.

5. Intellectual property and code delivery

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, once the agreed price has been paid, the code and deliverables developed specifically for the client become their property. This excludes third-party libraries, components, or tools used during development, which are governed by their own licenses. JCS Software may retain the right to showcase the project as a portfolio reference, unless the client expressly requests confidentiality.

6. Confidentiality

Any information you share about your business or your idea (through the form or any other channel) is treated confidentially and is not shared with third parties without your permission, except where legally required.

7. Timelines

Timelines communicated are good-faith estimates. They may vary depending on the final agreed scope, changes requested during development, or the availability of information or materials that depend on the client.

8. Acceptable use of the form and the site

The contact form must be used for genuine inquiries about possible projects. It may not be used to send spam, unlawful content, or to attempt to compromise the security of the website.

9. Limitation of liability

This website is provided "as is", without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. For the software development service itself, each party's liability is limited to what is expressly agreed in the contract or specific proposal for each project.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the website or to how the service is provided. The "last updated" date indicates the version in force.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, the parties submit to the courts that correspond under the law, without prejudice to any rights the client may have as a consumer, where applicable.
